John A. Flynn LLB (Hons)
John qualified as a Solicitor in 1973 and since 1975 has been a partner in practice in Consett. His principal areas of work have been in advocacy in the Magistrates and County Courts dealing with all areas of family work and crime (both prosecution and defence). He has many years experience in various aspects of housing law including acting for Local Authority and Social Housing Landlords in Anti Social Behaviour cases. For many years he acted for a Local Authority. He deals with all aspects of conveyancing and making of Wills.
John is a member of The Law Society Family Law Panel and Resolution and a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme (Police Station and Court).
For many years he has been the Chairman of the Governors of his local Primary School and is an independent board member of a local ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) (managing council housing stock for a local Council).
He also acts for Clubs in relation to conveyancing and mortgage work as well as providing general advice.
